So I like to review movies and I used to do it on Tumblr but I don't like Tumblr any more because it got boring.. Because no one follows me, SO I am going to do them on here... And then no one will know about these awesome movies because no one will read this blog.. Other than my friend Alex. HII ALEX!
So the movie today is;;; GRAVE ENCOUNTERS!!!
Portrayed as clips from an aspiring t.v show called *Grave Encounters* 5 crew members go into an old insane asylum to catch footage for their 7 episode. While there creepy things, no shit, start happening. People go missing, weird noises are heard.. SCARY.
I found it on a website and some one rated it 7/10. I think that it ranks in the 8.5 mark. It has some strong points and some weak points.
Strong: Suspenseful. I found myself bracing for something to happen when nothing did, and at a few points, I did jump. It has really good twists. It is a first person movie, so it is like Paranormal Activity- pretending to be real, you see through the camera as the people see, so not like Insidious. Even though some graphics are corny, they are still scary.
Weak: It takes a WHILE to get to the scary parts. The acting isn't the best and the characters are all over the place.. Not your run of the mill group of friends. Also the movie feels like it is 3 hours, when it is actually 1h 30 min. That CAN be good, because the suspense can really get to you, but I found that while being suspenseful, it was really boring too.
There is one thing with this movie that I can't quite categorise as good or bad. The humour. Though humour lightens the mood and keeps you entertained, it can ruin the effect of being scared.
Yeah, so I rate this movie 8.5 and I would that it is more of a good movie than bad (I guess the rating pretty much says that but what ever).
